Area Sales Manager- Manhattan

About The Position

The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic combined with a winning attitude and a desire to be recognized as best in class. Qualified candidates must be outgoing, goal-oriented and have a passion for the craft brewing industry. In this dynamic position, you will be an ambassador for The Bronx Brewery, building and maintaining professional sales relationships with wholesalers, retailers, and consumers. You will be a champion of quality assurance in the marketplace and at the distributorship. You will have an entrepreneurial attitude and embrace a culture rich in community involvement and a never-ending desire to succeed.

Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Be the “go-to” person for our distributor
  • Directly manage all aspects of the assigned territory
  • Create and cultivate relationships that are the gold standard for supplier/wholesaler
  • Constantly working towards transforming target accounts into top accounts
  • Work autonomously to establish, develop, and grow a strong base of on-premise and off-premise accounts
  • Track progress vs. goals
  • Consistent, clear communication to distributor personnel (weekly re-caps, etc.)
  • Perform beer samplings, tastings, beer dinners, and evening promotions
  • Work nights & weekends upon request.

  • A minimum of a 2-year college degree, or equivalent experience, is required
  • 1-2 Years alcohol/beverage industry sales experience; beer distributor or supplier background is preferred
  • Knowledge of the New York City market strongly preffered
  • Availability to work evenings/nights as needed is required (promotions)
  • Must be able to lift 35-pound cases, as well as maneuver and place 168-lb kegs
  • Prior knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office Suite(word, excel), VIP & CRM(Lilypad, Salesforce, Karma) strongly preferred
  • A safe driving record
  • A valid driver's license
  • A registered, insured, and dependable vehicle (Preferred)
  • The ability to drive to and from accounts continuously (As needed)
  • The ability to lift and move cases of beer frequently, climb, kneel, and stoop to arrange and display point of sale
  • You must be 21+ in order to work for The Bronx Brewery


  • Base Salary + Bonus (TBD based on experience)
