Some things you can’t ‘makeup’ — like this multimillion-dollar investment in four-year-old beauty brand Glossier.

CEO and Founder Emily Weiss, whose popular blog Into The Gloss led to the launch of Glossier nearly four years ago, sent an email blast Friday morning to inform subscribers of the “Business News (It’s Good).”

The new funds will be directed toward “building the beauty company of the future: the one you shape,” Weiss said in the email. The $52 million in fresh funds brings the company’s total funding to $86 million, Forbes reports.

The 150-person company is based in New York City. In 2017, Glossier expanded offices in two new countries and two new product categories.
