Vice President of Foodservice Sales

About The Position



  • Plan and manage the execution of sales plans for foodservice and related, in line with annual and long range business plans and sales and profitability goals
  • Establish quarterly goals and objectives and assess performance
  • Source, evaluate and select a network of distributors, assessing credit worthiness, warehousing and shipment capabilities, and overall business practices
  • Develop and manage national and regional chain account relationships driving distribution and building scale
  • Evaluate potential brokers for in market sales support.
  • Conduct all trade negotiations
  • Insure efficient spend of all trade dollars
  • Negotiate and manage all operator programs; collaborating with Finance for proper reporting and adherence to profit model.
  • Manage and direct all current brokers.  Build sales strategy for in market execution.
  • Work with   broker, distributor and operator personnel and the marketing department to oversee / design creative merchandising and promotional programs building brand growth and development
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to develop overall sales strategies, annual business plans and operating budgets
  • Develop annual sales forecasts and prepare weekly analyses and reports that monitor and analyze sales activity and market trends
  • Conduct quarterly and/or annual business reviews with key customers and brokers
  • Assess and pursue opportunities for development of new business within North America
  • Provide ongoing education to brokers, distributors and retailers regarding product categories, programs and promotions
  • Attend and participate in all weekly team calls
  • Responsibility for team communication on new business onboarding and support


  • Bachelor’s degree emphasizing sales, marketing or equivalent business experience is required
  • 10+ years foodservice sales experience
  • Previous experience in selecting and managing brokers and distributors is required
  • Strong experience in the development of annual business plans, sales forecasts and reports, and budget management
  • Excellent analytical and creative problem solving abilities, verbal/written communication, work organization, influence management and contract negotiation skills
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work independently and provide ongoing direction to broker partners and foodservice team
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to extensively ground and air travel
  • Preference for those who live within commuting distance of Encino, CA
