Senior Analyst, Sales

The Sr. Analyst will be responsible for analyzing the performance of Mark Anthony Brand's portfolio and highlighting opportunities to Sales Leadership and other stakeholders. This role will support the SVP of Sales and Director, with performance reporting, depletions database management, KPI development and tracking, and developing performance dashboards for internal and external use with distributors. Candidates with forecasting, planning and strategic analytics experience will be successful in this role.

The Sr. Analyst reports to the Senior Manager of Commercial Analytics and will support the commercial organization in a large-scale Data and Analytics (D&A) transformation. The role will have exposure to cross-functional teams including sales, IT, Marketing, Category Insights, C level Executives and will support the business using advanced technical skills and business acumen to drive D&A enhancements for the commercial business.

POSITION RESPONSIBLITIES & REQUIREMENTS:
  • Design and development of various kinds of reports , dashboards and analysis to enable performance tracking, reporting and analytics to drive C ommercial outcomes
  • Analyze and integrate data from multiple sources (e.g. sales depletions, market signals, sales plans, and business financial data)
  • Use technical expertise to champion reporting transformation and optimization by converting reporting environment from Excel-based to automated using a variety of BI tools.
  • Act as the main point of contact t o manage integrity and governance of depletions datasets ensuring alignment of key hierarchies, and standard and custom metrics
  • Work with broader analytics team to inform overall strategies and agenda around emerging capabilities such as BI tools , analytics best practices , AI and machine learning models
  • Design, build and maintain KPI calculations and reporting in Power BI
  • Adopt and integrate agile ways of working with IT and project management teams
  • Be curious - present opportunities for data efficiencies, report optimization and advanced analytics to enhance overall performance tracking and opportunity identification based on business needs
  • Understand total US beverage alcohol route-to-market, distributor environment and regulatory environment as it relates to reporting and commercial performance
  • Represent the business to translate reporting and analytics needs to our IT partners in support of Data and Analytics transformation efforts
  • Perform testing and data reconciliati on as needed

QUALIFICATION & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Business, Finance, Economics, Operations, or other quantitative fields
  • 5 + years of relevant analytical experience in finance or business analyst role ideally with a consumer-packaged-goods company or a consulting firm
  • Experience at large beverage alcohol supplier or distributor highly preferred
  • Highly Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with visualization and reporting tools required (Power BI and Cognos a plus)
  • Knowledge of data integration and governance practices highly preferred
  • Knowledge of demand planning and forecasting preferred
  • Circana and Nielsen experience preferred
