The Midwest Regional Manager will manage relationships with distributors and retailers to build the brand value, ensure products are distributed efficiently and effectively, and sales goals are achieved.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

SALES
  • Visit and support accounts.
  • Increase brand presence in assigned accounts.
  • Lead educational seminars for on-premise influencers in assigned market.
  • Deliver category and brand specific trainings to distribution partners by instilling proper sales techniques.
  • Provide cocktail suggestions and techniques, wait staff trainings, and drink pairing ideas.
  • Develop and manage promotional budget to capitalize on local opportunities.
DISTRIBUTOR MANAGEMENT
  • Participate in quarterly business reviews with distributor management.
  • Monitor inventory, sales, and program execution.
  • Participate in monthly ride-alongs to build network.
  • Present sales programs at General Sales Meetings (GSMs)
TEAM LEADERSHIP, MANAGEMENT, AND ACCOUNTABILITY
  • Lead and manage the team to follow processes and achieve outcomes.
  • Conduct the Journeyman Distillery Employee Experience Ecosystem as per the process with every direct report.
  • Manage the resourcing of roles within the department, with a focus on cultural fit.
  • Coach team members to effectively complete tasks, communicate effectively with other stakeholders and grow their skills.
  • Oversee Performance Management of direct reports including terminations ensuring positive and respectful relationships are maintained.
  • Undertake effective delegation and conduct informal on-the-job training for members to increase skills.

Requirements

EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration , marketing, sales, or a related field preferred.
  • Education and/or experience in hospitality management or beverage management a plus.
  • Proven track record of success in sales, preferably in the alcoholic beverage industry.
  • Experience in spirits distribution or working with wholesalers and retailers in the beverage industry highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of the spirits industry and familiarity with state liquor laws and regulations.
  • Experience leading a sales team, setting sales targets, and developing strategies to achieve revenue goals.
  • Must hold active licenses or certifications as required.
