As Texas’ #1 selling independent canned cocktail brand, we are seeking a seasoned sales leader to run our Texas business. This person will be the senior sales position at Ranch Rider, reporting directly to the CEO. As hundreds of brands have flooded the market, we are doubling down in Texas to re-establish our position as Texas’ Original Canned Cocktail through impactful in-store displays, cold box takeovers, liquid-to-lips investment and on-premise partnerships (for both our infused tequila & canned cocktail lines).

This role will initially have two direct reports (both Territory Managers based in Austin) with budget to hire an additional four TMs. 

Preference will be given to candidates based in Dallas or Austin with strong key Texas account and distributor (RNDC) relationships. Ideally this candidate will be an inspirational people manager with experience forecasting, reporting on Nielsen trends and developing effective distributor and retailer programming.

We are looking for someone with a “player coach” mentality who loves spending time in the trenches with the team, presenting to retailers, distributors and leading the sales team by example. 

Job Description:
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve all sales goals and KPIs
  • Develop and manage productive key relationships with all distributor partners via weekly in-market visits
  • Create and communicate sales goals and ensure sales team are informed on the progress & the necessary tools to achieve
  • Manage all budgets effectively and work closely with the sales teams to ensure compliance
  • Develop and communicate a plan to success with all distributor partners and manage each with guidance and accountability to achieve
  • Understand the competitive landscape and work to make the necessary adjustments
  • Understand and effectively communicate the company's values
  • Establish sales objectives and developing annual sales quotas for region
  • Establish and adjust selling prices by monitoring costs, competition while meeting the company’s SRP standards
  • Maintain sales staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees.
  • Desire to own projects and exceed expectations, with ability to find solutions and deliver results
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with management and cross-functional teams
  • Work with the Sales, Senior Management, Marketing and Operations Teams to implement targeted sales strategy
  • Manage sales forecasting internally and make the necessary adjustments to achieve
  • Work collaboratively with the sales, operations and marketing teams to foster a culture of continuous process improvement & team work
  • Ensure reports and other internal intelligence and insight information is provided to the sales teams on a regular basis
