JOB TITLE: Market Manager – Northern California
JOB DESCRIPTION: The Market Manager will be responsible for achieving all volume and distribution goals for Real Del Valle’s portfolio of brands through relationships with distribution partners (Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits) and accounts within the territory. This position will also be responsible for executing pricing and programming strategies in conjunction with building brand awareness in designated territory.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assist in developing and implementing annual operating plan which includes financial, volume, and distribution objectives
· Responsible for building and owning relationships through all levels of management with distributor + accounts
· Manage depletion and distribution objectives for the ON and OFF premise channels
· Introduce creative sales execution concepts, share across state lines/regions if successful and aspire to be a leader in best practices
· Maintain key account relationships with-in assign territory
· Complete monthly phasing calendar and maintain working key account list
· Manage assigned budgets including incentives, travel & entertainment, and other departmental expenses.
· Ensure all sales practices are compliant with state & company policies/law
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
· 5 or more years of sales experience in the CPG Beverage industry (alcoholic beverage industry preferred) with knowledge and passion for agave sprits
· Well organized with ability to work both independently and within team environment
· Results oriented, innovation, strong problem solving and negotiation skills
· Ability to work and succeed in self starter entrepreneurial environment
· Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
· Must be able to build and maintain positive customer relationships
· A flexible schedule allowing for work on nights and weekends
· Understanding of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
· Must reside within specified territory
· Must be at least 21 years of age
· Must have own vehicle with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
· Ability to travel at least 60% of his/her work time and capable of driving up 5 hours
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
· Able to work standing for several hours at a time
