As the Controller at Southern Distilling Company, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and stability of our organization. You will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing our cost accounting processes, providing accurate financial insights, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive strategic decisions. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in cost accounting, financial analysis, and a proven track record of contributing to organizational success.

Key Responsibilities:

Cost Accounting Management:
·       Develop and maintain cost accounting systems and methodologies.

·       Monitor and analyze product/service costs, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

·       Implement cost control measures to optimize resource utilization.

·       Regularly update and refine cost allocation methods.

·       Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

·       Provide variance analysis on actual vs. budgeted costs.

·       Offer insights on cost trends and make recommendations for cost reduction or improvement.

·       Collaborate with department heads to create annual budgets and forecasts.

·       Track budget performance and identify areas for improvement.

·       Assist in long-term financial planning and strategy development.

·       Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.

·       Coordinate and support external audits.

·       Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.

·       Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.

·       Work closely with the CFO and senior leadership to align financial goals with overall business objectives.

·       Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of cost accounting procedures.

·       Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in cost accounting.
